Hartz Naturals Real Beef Treats for Dogs Lot BZ969101E, UPC number 32700-11519 is being recalled for possible salmonella contamination. No dogs or humans have reported injuries, but the company, Hartz Mountain Corporation is voluntarily recalling the dog treats just to be safe. They believe that one or more of the packages may have been contaminated by salmonella.
If you have a package of these treats, check the lot number and UPC number printed on the package to see if it is from the recalled lot. If it is NOT a match, the treats are safe to feed your pet. If the Lot number and UPC number matches, you should dispose of the package of treats or return them to the store where you purchased them.
Salmonella can cause vomiting, diarrhea, fever and stomachaches. If you or your pet is experiencing symptoms, please seek medical attention immediately. Vomiting can lead to dehydration which is very dangerous and potentially fatal.
